Where To Ski In The Alps In October?

Austria is the leading country for October skiing with the Hintertux, Pitztal, Sölden, and the Kaunertal glaciers in Tirol already open.

Molltal, and Stubai, will open on October 2nd. The opening in Kaprun's Kitzsteinhorn it's planned for somewhere mid-October.

Subject to the glacier snow conditions for skiing, and favorable safety and health conditions, Les 2 Alpes area will be open from Saturday 17th October to Sunday 1st November 2020.

Tignes also plans to open the fall skiing season on the Grande Motte glacier on October 17th.

In Italy, glacier ski areas Val Senales and Passo Stelvio are open. Cervinia will be open from 24th October to 2nd May 2021.

In Switzerland, Saas-Fee, Zermatt has their glaciers open for snow sports.

After the last snowfalls, the piste Scex Rouge in the Glacier 3000 is also open on a daily bases for skiing.
